Members are individuals who use SafeUP to protect themselves.
WHAT IS A GUARDIAN?
Guardians are individuals who actively provide support to users in their area. It is the guardian's responsibility to either provide mobile or in-person assistance.
TYPES OF GUARDIAN CALLS
Receiving a call for help? That means you are one of the guardians closest to the user who called for help. If you’re ready and able to assist, you will be responding to one of two types of calls:
WALK AND TALK
When a user feels unsafe and wants someone to guide them it is your job as the guardian to provide support by talking over the phone. You will speak with the user until she/they is in a place where she/they feels completely safe.
After answering a call of this nature, you and two other guardians will be entered into a video call with the user. You will have the chance to diagnose the situation and provide in-person assistance if necessary.
