It's very important for SafeUP to protect the privacy of teenagers who use SafeUP's app (“App”).

Your parents can read SafeUP's general Privacy Policy available on SafeUP's website under "privacy policy" for more information.

We are SafeUP Ltd.

Unfortunately, the App is not made available to teenagers below the age of 13. If you are under 13 years old and try to register to use the App, SafeUP will probably block you from registering again and/or to send an Activation Request (described below).

We  use personal information we collect or receive from or about teenagers between the ages of 13 and 16 (“you” or “Teenager”).

We also collect information from or about their parent(s)/legal guardian (“Parents”) (other than in the US, where we do not obtain parental consent for teenagers over 13 years old).

We use this information for activation and registration purposes and in order to verify your information in the Parental Consent Form (described below).

  • Parental Consent Form. Once you have sent us an Activation Request, a webpage link will be sent to your Parent email address, WhatsApp, SMS or other platform with the parental consent form ("Parental Consent Form"). Your Parent will be asked to give us the following information in order to verify the information you provided in the Activation Request: full name, date of birth (month and year). We will allow you to use the App only if your Parents have given their consent for us to create an account for you

  • Your Parent will be asked to approve collection of your information and give optional consent for communication with you. We use this information in order to determine your age, for legal purposes and allow you to Login to the App. We will also use this information to contact you for technical support related to your use of the App and related tasks.
If your Parent does not complete the Parental Consent Form within seven calendar days after it is sent to them, SafeUP will delete all information you have provided in the Activation Request.

  • App Login. You can login to the App once your Parent has successfully consented to the Activation Request and sent us the Parental Consent Form.

  • Use of the App. If SafeUP receives the Parental Consent Form, you can use the App without the intervention of your Parent but we encourage you to discuss the use and consequences of using the app with your Parents.  We collect the following personal information directly from you, while you use the App: (a) full name; (b) mobile phone number; (c) geolocation/ location data; (d) IP address; (e) phone type and version; (f) sex ; (g) date of birth (month and year); and (h) call recordings.
